We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist position to join our team.
We have multiple vacancies in the following Program Area:
Under general direction of the Marketing Strategy and Outreach Manager, Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Senior Marketing Specialist will function as a high level independent specialist who performs the most difficult, complex, and sensitive marketing work, assuming responsibility for major activities central to the mission of Covered California. The position will also lead and oversee a group of Marketing Analysts or Specialists.
Develop and lead execution of a marketing strategic plan. Partner closely with Sales Channels and develop enabling strategies to drive membership growth and expansion of distribution channels, including Assisters, Agents, and other Strategic Partners. Support community outreach initiatives and expansion of targeted messages by community.
Drive the evolution of Covered California Brand guidelines and communicate changes internally and externally with partners and stakeholders. Direct the annual business review and conceive, develop, and recommend marketing objectives and strategies and supporting budgets to the Covered California top management. Give strategic direction and review to agency staff contracted to provide advertising, public relations, and consumer promotions. Develop strategic direction and manage the new product development process.
Conduct focus groups with target customer groups to obtain feedback on the voice of the customer. Oversee development and implementation of the largest promotional campaigns and activities. Recommend specialized communication and marketing strategies to support the Covered California.
Knowledge of principles, practices, and trends of product marketing, development and management.
Knowledge of principles and practices of market research and analysis.
Knowledge of alternative approaches to successful product marketing.
