Under the general direction of the Assistant Chief Counsel, Settlement Division, of the Board of Equalization, the Tax Counsel III, Specialist, of the Settlement Division has the responsibility to settle complex, difficult, and sensitive tax cases, employing technical accuracy, completeness and consistency in legal positions taken and cases considered and settled, and to advise and make recommendations regarding negotiations and difficult and sensitive policy and legal issues facing the Legal Department. The attorney works effectively, with a high degree of independence and consistently achieves positive results.
