Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Data Processing Manager III, the System Software Specialist III serves as the department’s Enterprise Architect and is responsible for planning, analysis, design, development, maintenance, and use of the Enterprise Architecture. The incumbent serves as an advisor in technology security, infrastructure and application designs and architecture and is responsible for taking the BOE’s business strategy and defining an enterprise information technology systems framework to support that strategy. This framework includes a set of standards to help govern the selection, acquisition, and use of hardware and software platforms, databases, and applications for all computer based processing. The framework enables integration, shared services, interoperability and sharing of information with other entities across functional and organizational boundaries.
