Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator I, the Business Taxes Representative (BTR) will learn all the phases of tax compliance, licensing, and law, rule, and regulation administration. The BTR is assigned cases by terminal digit through the Automated Compliance Management System (ACMS) and works collection cases of moderate difficulty. The BTR must keep the supervisor informed of complex issues on assigned cases. The accounts are worked from the office by telephone and mail using an inside collection program. Work is performed by use of a personal computer in accessing the individual's caseload. Actions taken are initiated and recorded on the personal computer, as are the case notes. More than one position may be available. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. Travel required 25% of the time. Interested candidates must meet educational requirements. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
