Use a desktop computer to prepare a variety of documents; review outgoing documents for format, grammar, spelling, and content consistent with Department, Branch, and Division policies; assist with maintenance and updates to the Adult Education Office (AEO), Division, and Branch document logs; answer telephone inquiries, greet visitors, direct calls and visitors to other appropriate staff if necessary.
Provide administrative support to the AEO staff by independently preparing travel related documents and other support as needed.
Provide technical assistance to the Adult Education Program staff relative to the annual grant application process administered by the AEO; assist in the preparation of grant applications, coordination of incoming applications, and the grant review process.
Receive, review, and distribute documents and maintain basic filing systems; open and distribute mail; order supplies; maintain and operate office equipment such as fax, copier, etc.
Organize AEO-sponsored functions and meetings; reserve rooms; prepare agendas; be responsible for compiling and assembling materials; coordinate travel arrangements for participants; ensure all details are completed, etc.
Participate in staff meetings; keep supervisors apprised of the status of projects and problems; perform other job-related duties as required.
