Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Business Taxes Compliance Supervisor II, the Tax Technician II answers incoming telephone calls and registers taxpayers under the tax programs administered by the Registration and Licensing Section. The incumbent performs the more complex technical work associated with registration, account maintenance, and close outs. The incumbent may learn and perform duties in more varied and complex program areas. The incumbent will receive additional compensation each month for public contact through the telephone per Pay Differential 186. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
