The Board of Equalization, Customer Service and Publishing Division is looking for a Business Taxes Compliance Specialist (BTCS) to be a subject matter expert in the Taxpayer Information Section. The Taxpayer Information Section responds to over 600,000 calls and 20,000 e-mails per year, providing customers and taxpayers with information on a wide range of tax areas covering sales and use tax, 25 special tax areas (environmental, hazardous waste, recycling, etc.) and property taxes. The BTCS is responsible for development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of a complex training program. Because the BTCS will interact on a regular basis with tax program representatives and other stakeholders, he or she must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that can promote collaboration and consensus building. The BTCS must be attentive to detail, have excellent writing and verbal skills and be familiar with call center or production environments. The position will be located in Natomas area of Sacramento. Occasional overnight travel will be required for this position.
