Job Description:
The Tax Technician I performs the less difficult and complex work and is responsible for basic compliance support functions including performing account maintenance duties, filing and pulling of taxpayer records, processing incoming and outgoing mail which may include money payments and handling of sensitive and confidential material, accessing taxpayer information. Meeting the job required training for the TT-I position may require overnight travel of one or more consecutive days. More than one position may be available. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.

2. Describe the nature of your experience in maintaining confidential information. Was this information hard copy or electronic? How did you ensure that there was no breach in confidentiality?
3. Describe your experience in gathering data and electronic reports. Did you prepare these documents in Microsoft Excel or in Word? How was this utilized and who was the recipient?
