Under direction from the Director of the English Learner Support Division, and working cooperatively with program units and managers throughout the Department, the incumbent works independently on the following:
Creates and implements a standardized process that facilitates the English Learner Fiscal Management System
Develops and implements a Needs Assessment ensuring the integrity of all data collected from local educational agencies are required to determine eligibility for and allocation of program funds.
Prepare reports as required by the Legislature, the State Board of Education, the California Department of Education, and the United States Department of Education.
Knowledge of or experience with educational and/or support services related to English learner students.
Experience in writing contracts, grants, Budget Change Proposals, and budgetary regulations, policies, and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of federal and state law related to English learner students.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
