The Secretary of State’s Business Programs Division has a permanent, full-time Program Technician opening in the Business Entities Section, Filing Counter Unit.
Duties: Assign document identification numbers; certify copies; and enter information on to the work screen. Perform quality control by validating processed documents with corresponding database records. Create database tracking records for each document. Pull microfilm or hard copy documents, as needed. Interact professionally with customers at the public counter regarding inquiries, accept documents and/or fees received at the counter and serve as the public’s initial contact with the Business Programs Division. Perform other duties as required.
Desirable Qualifications: Ability to interact effectively with the public and departmental personnel. Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, be flexible, work independently, and have the willingness to learn new duties. Punctuality and good attendance are essential.
Who May Apply: Applicants must have current eligibility for permanent, full-time appointment to the Program Technician classification. All appointments are subject to State Restriction of Appointment (SROA) provisions. Only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed.
