The Nutrition Services Division helps local agencies meet the nutritional needs of children in preschool through grade 12. The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Unit administers the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Child and Adult Care Food Program. We are looking for an experienced analyst who enjoys working with agencies at the local level and is committed to providing great customer service.

DUTIES:

  • Review and be familiar with laws, regulations, and policies affecting child nutrition programs
  • Review and approve applications for participation in the CACFP
  • Conduct preapproval visits to new agencies
  • Develop program administration policies, operational guidance, and training materials
  • Evaluate and approve sponsor administrative budgets, quarterly reports, and budget revisions
  • Independently prepare letters, management bulletins, memos, and technical assistance materials

DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability and willingness to work in a self-directed work team and support a team environment
  • Experience working in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability and willingness to openly communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible and work with changing work priorities
  • Experience with public speaking in both training settings and presentations
  • Travel up to 10 percent as necessary

Candidates MUST include CACFP SSA-PI on the title section of your state application, otherwise your application may not be considered for an interview.
