Job Description:

Are you looking for a position that offers a variety of Information Technology (IT) related work projects? The Nutrition Services Division (NSD) is looking for a committed, technical professional to join our team within the Technology Support Unit. The Division’s mission is to provide leadership and nutrition education to local food program sponsors in order to promote the health, well being, and educational potential of California's children, adults, and families. You will serve as a Division IT Coordinator.

DUTIES

Under the general supervision of the Staff Information Systems Analyst Supervisor, the incumbent provides numerous IT related activities including PC support, hardware/software standardization, database maintenance, vendor contract oversight, PC inventory, PC procurement, technical writing, and technical training for the NSD staff. The IT Coordinator also serves as a subject matter expert in support of the Child Nutrition Information and Payment System, the NSD’s new Web-based online system used by food program sponsors for payment of their claims. The incumbent acts as the rights administrator, the database operator, and troubleshoots the system.

The Technology Support may consider Assistant Information Systems Analyst candidates for recruitment purposes. Employment provisions as outlined by the Department of Personnel Administration's State Restriction of Appointments (SROA) policy will prevail. In addition, current or future executive orders relative to filling vacant positions may also affect this process. Applications will be screened and only the most qualified will be interviewed.

PLEASE NOTE: Possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications, the applicant will be removed from the eligibility list.
