Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Tax Technician II is responsible for the more complex, technical duties. This includes, but is not limited to, issuing permits to new businesses by mail and in person; handling the full range of account maintenance duties, working delinquencies; conducting taxpayer interviews which may involve complicated situations and utilize basic explorative questioning, issuing use tax exemption certificates, and rotational reception duties. Perform other job related duties as necessary. Candidate must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for one or more nights. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential.
