One vacancy and any other Accountant I (Specialist) - Limited-Term (12-Month) vacancies that may occur. DUE TO CURRENT HIRING RESTRICTIONS, POSITIONS MAY BE FILLED AS LIMITED TERM WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF BECOMING PERMANENT/FULL-TIME.
Under the direction of the Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accountant I (Specialist) will act as the Accounting Department lead person for workload distribution of support functions. In this capacity, the Accountant I (Specialist) will direct, review and audit the duties of support staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. Other duties include the preparation and maintenance of the monthly bank reconciliation reports, month end reports, and overtime meal voucher reports. In addition, duties and supervision as necessary in the functions of the Accounting Office may also be required. The Accountant I (Specialist) shall have knowledge of all Support and Trust functions of the Accounting Office. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED.
