Job Description:
CANDIDATE MUST BE REACHABLE ON THE CURRENT CT MTCE. SUPV LIST, CURRENTLY HOLDING THE POSITION OF CT MTCE. SUPV. OR ELIGIBLE FOR REINSTATMENT. Under the direction of a CT Mtce. Superintendent, the incumbent supervises and works with a crew engaged in the maintenance/repair of State highways, highway structures, planted areas bordering freeways and highways, including fences, signs, culverts and guardrail and construction work. Activities include planning, coordinating and supervising activities such as paving, patching, chip seals, and roadside maintenance as well as the storm water and drainage responsibilities. This is a mountain area with snow removal operations, which requires incumbent to plan, coordinate and direct the crews snow removal operations within this area. Requires field inspections and reports, as well as other work as delegated by the Area Superintendent. Position requires after hours response, as well as working of irregular shifts and weekends. May oversee the work of a group of non-State or community service workers. Must possess a valid and unrestricted C California Driver’s License.
