Job Description:
The County-Assessed Properties Division carries out the BOE's responsibilities to provide advice and guidance to county assessors and property taxpayers; to oversee the property tax assessment practices of county assessors; and co-administer the welfare exemption. The Tax Auditor conducts compliance audits through research of property tax issues involving property taxation and prepares written analyses of findings. The position will start in the assessment practices survey program, but will work through the other division’s section on a rotational basis. This position is located in the Natomas area. Travel required 50% of the time. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
