JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Administrator I of the Financial Performance Unit (FPU), the incumbent works independently and in a team environment. FPU was established to implement Activity Based Costing (ABC) methods and practices while providing the tools and information to assist the enterprise in its decision making processes. The incumbent will provide fiscal advisory services and perform financial data analysis for the department on a range of subjects including program and activity based costing, performance measures, and budget and expenditure analysis. As part of our team, you will be assisting and coaching others on financial best practices.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Work independently or in a team environment on projects or assignment.
Flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, assignments and other interruptions that may impact pre-established timelines and planned actions.
Effectively manage multiple assignments; ability to adjust to changing priorities.
Strong analytical skills.
Familiarity with FTB’s organization, operations and programs.
Good interpersonal skills, work well in a team environment and maintain positive relationships.
Ability and willingness to learn ABC, ABR and performance measure analysis.
Successfully participate in various enterprise projects and teams.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite applications with an emphasis on Excel.
Experience designing, preparing, and analyzing reports containing complex data.
Knowledge of FTB’s budget process, accounting principles and practices, and TimePortal.
Desire to improve the level of services and products provided to the Department.
