Job Description:
The Business Taxes Representative is responsible for working lower dollar closed out corporate collection accounts to determine if the corporate officers or responsible parties can be held liable, effecting collection, and for recommending for discharge those accounts that are uncollectable. The incumbent, informs the supervisor of complex and/or sensitive issues on assigned cases. The accounts are worked from the office by telephone and mail using an inside collection program. Work is performed by use of a personal computer in accessing the individual's caseload. Actions taken are initiated and recorded on the personal computer, as are the case notes. Must be able to work in a high rise building. Must be able to travel overnight for training if necessary. More than one position may be available. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. Interested candidates must meet educational requirements. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
