The Sacramento Legal Office is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Legal Secretary. Areas of practice may include tort defense, environmental, real property and/or contract law. Incumbents perform complex legal secretarial work including the preparation, processing, filing and service of a large variety of legal documents in multiple jurisdictions (municipal, superior, state, federal, appellate courts, and administrative agencies.) Duties include maintaining calendar of response dates; maintaining case files; composing correspondence independently; formatting computer-generated documents; checking citations/quotations; making travel arrangements; and processing invoices and travel expense claims.
