Job Description:

Caltrans is looking for a litigator to prepare and conduct actions and proceedings before courts and administrative bodies in the areas of real property (eminent domain and inverse condemnation), tort (dangerous condition and employment), environmental (legal sufficiency and litigation), and/or contracts (construction claims). Incumbent will study, interpret and apply laws, court decisions, and other authorities in the preparation of cases; conduct legal research and provide legal opinions; review and assist with legislation; and/or conduct a variety of transactional work with far reaching implications statewide for the Department. This position may become permanent at a later date.
