JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Data Processing Manager II in the Withhold at Source System (WASS) Testing Unit, the incumbent will be responsible for various complex system test assignments for the WASS. Under general supervision, acts as a project leader on complex information technology studies or systems, works on complex information technology systems problems, and serves as the advanced technical specialist performing complex analytical studies and activities on complex information technology systems, projects, and/or teleprocessing networks/systems. The incumbent will use various software tools to execute difficult test scenarios, use current testing methodologies to evaluate newly developed system enhancements. The incumbent is expected to work independently and to work cooperatively with requirements and development staff in order to fully evaluate application behaviors to resolve system-specific incidents. Work is performed within our Mission and Values framework and is geared toward the Bureau’s effectiveness and efficiency.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) will also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
