This is a Permanent Intermittent position and may work at a maximum of 1500 hours per calendar year. This position may become permanent.
Under the supervision of the Budget Office Manager, this position will be the primary clerical support to the Budget Section in the Administrative Services Division of the Air Resources Board. The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of clerical duties, including, but not limited to, typing, proofing, editing, and processing correspondence, checking for accuracy, grammar, and proper use of ARB’s standard of correspondence,log and track due dates of financial reports and assignments, create and maintain files and record inventories, order and receive supplies for the Budget Office, type labels and create binders for staff and for records management; take inventories of Budget Section files; schedule meetings; answer phones and route calls to the appropriate personnel, and various other clerical duties.
Knowledge of office practices, customer service, communication, and excellent organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and the ability to maintain a positive, creative and flexible attitude in a customer friendly atmosphere. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word applications is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of budget office functions is a plus.
