Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) III, the Supervising Tax Auditor II is responsible for administering the headquarters and field audit functions performed in the Audit Examination Branch of the Special Taxes Audit and Carrier Division (STACD). The position is responsible for organizing and directing the work of an audit team consisting of field and /or desk auditors and business taxes specialists performing the most difficult and highly specialized audits encompassing multiple tax and fee programs in the STACD. This includes hiring, training and evaluating staff, selecting and assigning audits, conducting office discussions, approving reports and correspondence. Requires a broad knowledge of the various programs administered by the STACD. Other job duties may be required. This position may require travel in and out-of-state up to 20% of the time. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. The position is located in a high-rise building.
