***YOU MUST BE A CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEE OR HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED AN EXAMINATION FOR THIS CLASSIFICATION*** THIS IS CURRENTLY A LIMITED TERM POSITION WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF BECOMING PERMANENT FULL TIME. Under the direction of the Correctional Counselor II - Supervisor, the Correctional Counselor I (CCI) shall prepare an Institutional Staff Recommendation Summary (CDC 816) on all cases assigned, making appropriate recommendations for placement in an institution or departmentally approved program, based on the classification score, administrative determinants and relevant case factors. The CCI shall interview assigned inmates in the designated facility housing unit office prior to completing reports required in Reception Processing and document acquired information as appropriate. APPLICATIONS WILL BE SCREENED AND ONLY THE MOST QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE INTERVIEWED.
