Job Description:
DUTIES:
The successful candidate will support the California Plug-in Electric Vehicle Collaborative (PEVC) under close supervision of an Air Resources Supervisor I in the Sustainable Transportation Technology Branch. The incumbent will work with staff on a variety of projects related to outreach and education on plug in vehicles and infrastructure, and clean vehicle choices. Projects will include administrative and logistical support for the PEVC including gathering, summarizing and otherwise preparing information for PEVC meetings, workgroups and work products. Responsibilities will also include helping maintain the PEVC website by updating content, posting links and ensuring accuracy of external links and helping with working group tasks including collection of data related to electric vehicle charging, industry communication and messaging, government activities related to plug in vehicle commercialization and plug in vehicle deployments.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
The most competitive qualifications include: strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with flexibility to manage multiple tasks at any given time; ability to react to quick, short-term tasks and deadlines. Proficiency in Macintosh computer platform is desireable. Experience with Microsoft for Mac Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and website maintenance experience desirable. Preferred Qualifications include experience in updating web based information; technical background with knowledge of plug in vehicles; writing presentations using PowerPoint is helpful. The positions can require occasional travel. Only the most qualified individuals will be interviewed.
