JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the direction of the supervisor from the Compliance Montoring Unit (CMU), the Compliance Monitoring Specialist performs a wide variety of consultative, analytical, & evaluative assignments to ensure the security & integrity of Franchise Tax Board’s (FTB) data within the department’s automated information systems. The incumbent is responsible for performing server/system and network security audits to ensure that all information systems are in compliance with Information security policies & procedures in order to adequately safeguard FTB's information system.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Working knowledge of TCP/IP
Working knowledge of Server and/or Network administration
Knowledge of active directory, user authentication and authorization, & GPO
The ability to manage priorities and work on a team environment
The ability to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical & non-technical staff
The ability to indenpendently perform technical research and provide recomendations
