ASSOCIATE INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST
Under the general direction of the Staff Information Systems Analyst I, the Associate Information Systems Analyst (AISA) is responsible for a variety of duties necessary to the timely and appropriate utilization of computer equipment and computer related technology with the Office of Internal Affairs (OIA).
Duties include but are not limited to:
35% Identify equipment and software needs for OIA information systems, evaluate available software relative to its application in OIA, develop programs for entering, accessing, and compiling data on departmental internal affairs investigations using approved software, serve as a liaison with the Information Services Branch (ISB) regarding potential application of existing programs in OIA.
30% Provide technical support to Headquarters Office and the three Regional Offices in the daily operations of computer equipment and access to automated systems, identify and resolve computer equipment and system problems, coordinate and perform repair and routine prevention maintenance on EDP equipment and software.
20% Install and upgrade computer hardware and software, coordinate acquisition and installation of new equipment and technology with the ISB, prepare purchase orders for new equipment and software, prepare and maintain equipment and software equipment.
10% Coordinate training of staff in Headquarters Office and the Regional Offices in the operation of equipment and automated systems, identify training needs and available resources, prepare training manuals for staff.
5% Perform other duties as required.
