Under the general direction of the Audit Program Analysis Section Supervisor (STA III), the Office Technician performs a full range of office support duties for the Section Supervisor and staff. The position performs a variety of difficult duties and is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, independence, and originality in performing assigned tasks. Specific duties include preparing original correspondence, including forms, letters, memoranda, and reports, along with maintaining a confidential administrative filing system of all correspondence developed within the Section. The Office Technician serves as Attendance Coordinator and section liaison with the Human Resource Division with duties that include reconciling absence requests with time sheets, preparing hiring packets, maintaining related files, coordinating health benefits documents, and researching benefit inquiries for staff. Good judgment and the ability to communicate effectively are important personal skills for the position. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. A LEAP Certification List will be utilized.
