Job Description:

This position is subjected to the department hiring constraints and will only consider internal candidates at this time.Multiple positions available.

Under the general supervision of a Senior Transportation Engineer, the incumbent is responsible for the review, processing, inspection of fieldwork, and recommendation for issuance and denial of Encroachment Permit applications for requested work activity within the State’s right of way. The incumbent has considerable latitude for independent action in performance of the functions listed. Supervision is of an administrative nature, and specific assistance is received on occasional complex technical engineering issues. This position requires working closely with functional units and permit applicants to maintain standards while improving quality and reducing costs. The successful candidate must possess high customer service for both internal and external customers.
