At times act in his/her absence, as Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor. There are times when incumbent will work for other Supervisors and/or work units, as operational needs require. Will conduct some training for other members of the crew. Incumbent will be responsible for special assignments such as installing and maintaining traffic signs of such size and complexity as to require the use of special mobile equipment. The job includes maintaining numerous records of signs shipped to us from contracted vendors, ordering 'Caltrans stock' warehouse signs, and materials used to install such signs. On occasion, the employee will make temporary or emergency signs as necessary. PARF #3-456
