A Public Safety Dispatcher at Humboldt
Communications Center works a 3/12 alternate work week with rotation sign-ups.
Duties: Under the direction of the Public Safety Dispatch
Supervisor I, duties include operating radio console; transmit and receive
radio traffic; document information into VisiCAD; answer emergency and
non-emergency calls; and utilize various databases.
Desirable qualifications: The position requires a motivated individual with excellent
interpersonal skills and the willingness to provide essential services to the
public. The candidate must possess the ability to maintain composure
under stressful situations, have an excellent work ethic, and the ability to
work as a team and independently.
Who may apply: Persons currently in the Public Safety Dispatcher
classification who are eligible to transfer, should submit a CHP 220, Request for Transfer, to the contact person below. The most senior same-class transfer
who responds by the final filing date shall be selected.
Persons eligible to
apply must be on a certification list, eligible to transfer, voluntarily
demote, reinstate, or be on an SROA list or designated Surplus. All applicants
