Inland Communications Center
(ICC) is on the 4/10 alternate work week schedule.
Location: ICC is within the new Inland Empire
Traffic Management Center located at the Interstate-15/Interstate-210
interchange in the City of Fontana.
Duties: Dispatch for four California Highway Patrol
Areas, answer 9-1-1, allied agency, and business telephone calls using the
VESTA telephone system and document information from the calls and/or units in
the field into a computer aided dispatch system.
Who may apply: Persons currently in the Public Safety Dispatcher
classification who are eligible to transfer, should submit a CHP 220, Request for Transfer, to the contact person below. The most senior same-class transfer
who responds by the final filing date shall be selected.
Persons eligible to
apply must be on a certification list, eligible to transfer, voluntarily
demote, reinstate, or be on an SROA list or designated Surplus. All applicants
will be considered; only the most qualified will be interviewed.
