The Senior Psychiatric Technician (Safety), as shift supervisor, supervises, trains, and evaluates a group of Psychiatric Technicians (Safety) engaged in custody activities, basic behavioral, nursing care and other assigned staff. May be assigned to complex duties where the only supervision exercised is over inmates, such as directing or monitoring their activities in a therapy program and do other related work functions. Performs Health Care related duties consistent with the Psychiatric Technician Scope of Practice. A detailed duty statement is available on request.

* Through June 30, 2013, full-time employees’ monthly pay will be reduced by 4.62% in exchange for eight (8) hours of leave. Part-time employees shall be subject to the pay reduction on a pro-rated basis consistent with their time base. *
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
