The California Technology Agency has an opening for a permanent, full-time Executive Assistant position. This position reports to the Assistant Secretary, Program and Portfolio Management Office and is located in downtown Sacramento. Under the general direction of the Assistant Secretary, the Executive Assistant (EA) provides staff assistance on sensitive departmental or program issues; provides administrative assistance and secretarial support.
•Researches solutions on sensitive issues.
•Performs analytical duties including gathering information and making recommendations.
•Maintains office electronic filing of publications, memos, budget letters, project documents, and general correspondence.
•Acts as a representative of the Assistant Secretary to inquiries from the public and governmental representatives.
•Reviews all incoming correspondence to determine appropriate action.
•Maintains tracking system of assignments.
•Maintains calendar of Assistant Secretary including scheduling meetings and reserving conference rooms.
•Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate staff.
•Maintains, orders, and restocks office supplies and inventory records for the office.
•Serves as a backup to other Tech Agency administrative support staff.

•Ability to give high attention to detail, exercise good judgment, and make timely and effective decisions.
•Excellent problem solving skills.
•Experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Excellent writing skills.
•Understanding of state budget process.
•Understanding of state information technology project approval process.
