The Barstow Communications Center (BCC) has one (1) opening
for Public Safety Dispatcher effective immediately. BCC is on the 4/10 alternate
work week. Monthly shift and RDO signups are done by seniority. Our center is
located in the Barstow Area office.
Duties: dispatch for four (4) CHP Areas, answer 9-1-1, allied
agency and business telephone calls using the Vesta system and document
information from the calls and/or units in the field into a CAD system.
Who may apply: Persons currently in the Public
Safety Dispatcher classification who are eligible to transfer, should submit a CHP 220, Request for Transfer, to the contact person below. The most senior same-class transfer
who responds by the final filing date shall be selected.
Persons eligible to apply must
be on a certification list, eligible to transfer, voluntarily demote,
reinstate, or be on an SROA list or designated Surplus. All applicants will be
considered; only the most qualified will be interviewed.
