JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager and Lead. The typical job duties of a DSM Administrator include:
1) Responsible for the implementation, patching, maintenance, upgrade and testing of software in multiple environments.
2) Perform administrative tasks, troubleshooting problems, and documenting procedures. 3) Do System design, development, testing and maintenance of the DSM agent client used on various platforms (Windows desktop, servers, Apple Mac, Linux and Unix environments). All duties are performed within the framework of the Department’s mission and values, and in accordance with Departmental Policies and General Procedures.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Experience troubleshooting, installing and configuring PC software
Experience troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7
Experience providing customer service in an Information Technology (IT) environment.
Experience communicating technical information to non-technical customers.
Experience with installing and supporting CA Desktop Server Management (DSM) or CA IT Client Manager 12.5 Suite
Ability to work independently, be results oriented, and do technical research
Ability to identify and resolve complex computer software/hardware problems
Knowledge of ITIL concepts
Ability to handle multiple priorities, self motivated, enthusiastic, and responsible.
Ability to work off hours in a planned or emergency situation
Knowledge using Microsoft Project 2010
Experience troubleshooting Unix, Linux and Apple operating systems
