Title:  CALTRANS HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Salary: $3,740.00 - $4,311.00

Job Description:
With the Division of Equipment, Shop 11 located in San Diego, incumbent inspects equipment to determine repairs/corrective action necessary; maintains and repairs automobiles, trucks, tractors, graders, snow plows, power shovels, pumps, air compressors, diesel and gasoline engines and similar equipment. Valid Class C Drivers License required. Must have civil service status or employment list eligibility on the CT Heavy Equipment Mechanic list. If interested, submit a completed/signed state application (STD 678) to the address below. Applications will be screened; interviews may be conducted.

Please note: Possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications, the applications will be forwarded to the State Personnel Board for review and the applicant's name may be removed from the eligibility list.
