Caltrans is looking for a litigator to prepare and conduct actions and proceedings before courts and administrative bodies in the areas of real property (eminent domain/inverse condemnation), tort (dangerous condition/employment), environmental (legal sufficiency/litigation), and/or contracts (construction claims ). Incumbent will assist at various stages of project development, including environmental compliance and legal sufficiency; handle matters on appeal, including briefs and oral argument; conduct legal research and provide legal opinions; review and assist with legislation; provide counseling, negotiation, or other legal work with far reaching implications statewide for the Department.
