The Department of State Hospitals, Metropolitan State Hospital is currently accepting applications for permanent full-time PSYCHOLOGIST (HFCS) located at Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction of the department of Psychology, Metropolitan State Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable and dedicated Psychologist for the position of Staff Psychologist in our Lanterman Petris Short (LPS) program to join our service. The position/s require the ability to provide psychological and risk assessments, behavior planning and intervention, diagnosis and treatment planning in cooperation with an interdisciplinary treatment team, individual and group treatment, and consultation.

Employees applying for this position who wish to be considered on a transfer basis must meet the minimum qualifications for the classification per DPA Rule 250. You may be required to provide copies of your Training and Development Assignment or out-of-class experience (approved and documented in your department's personnel office), college transcripts or a copy of your college diploma if applicable.

If it is determined an applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications, the applicant shall be notified and may be removed from the eligibility list.
