Job Description : In a temporary position, under supervision of the Office Services Supervisor II, the incumbent will function as the Well File Clerk in the Office Services Unit within the Division’s Cypress District Office.
The position will perform the following duties : Reorganize active and inactive well
files. Maintain all active and inactive oil and gas well files. Locate inactive and active oil
and gas well files for the support staff and Engineers. Process all outgoing mail by
copying, scanning, emailing all Test (T)-Reports, Production (P)-Reports, Final Letters,
Cancellation Letters, Correction Letters and all other corresponding letters. Assist in
various scanning projects of well data files directed by Underground Injection Control
(UIC) Unit and the Division’s Sacramento Headquarter Office. Act as back-up typist for
Associate Oil and Gas Engineer’s correspondence to public, government, and private
industry. Enter well data (new well drills, reworks, abandonments) into form OG114 “Weekly Summary of Well Operations” using a personal computer.
One position is available in the Division’s Cypress District Office. Application must be received by September 12, 2012. Priority consideration shall be given to individuals receiving public assistance under the CalWORKS program. A letter from the applicable County Welfare Department verifying CalWORKS status must be submitted with your application. If verification is not submitted with your application, your CalWORKS application will not be processed.
Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally/written).
