Information Management Division, Information
Technology Section has an opening for a permanent full-time Associate Information
Systems Analyst (Specialist) within the Personal Computer Support Unit.
Duties: Under the general supervision of the Data Processing
Manager II, the incumbent performs at the full journey-level to provide
technical support for desktop and laptop computers and printers; participates
in the planning and implementation of the statewide infrastructure refresh
project; and provides analysis and problem resolution for help tickets
requiring 2nd or 3rd tier support.
The incumbent also provides
support of data cabling services for California Highway Patrol offices statewide,
including planning, design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Must be able to work
off-shift schedules and weekends.
Desirable experience/qualifications: Well-developed
verbal communication skills, strong written skills; knowledge of LAN
installations, project issues, and business rules; provide outstanding customer
service; and possess good analytical skills.
Must be dependable, accurate, and team oriented. Traveling is required periodically.
