DFI is considered one of the premier State departments offering programs and opportunities which focus on and support employees. The Sacramento office at 1810 – 13th Street is located near light rail.
Position Description: Under the general direction of the Performance Chief, the AGPA will perform various analytical duties.
Duties: The AGPA reviews, analyzes and processes complex consumer complaints and information in a timely manner and accurately documents consumer complaints and inquiries into the Consumer Services system database. Interviews the complainants in an unbiased, courteous, professional manner. Formulates an inquiry approach to ascertain important facts. Clarifies the Department's role, jurisdiction and services to the consumer.
The incumbent will assist in the development of procedures, and uses appropriate negotiation skills and problem solving methods to resolve consumer complaints and inquiries. The AGPA must utilize a wide range of analytical skills to prepare complex complaint responses for the licensees and consumers. Accurately documents consumer complaints and inquiries in the Consumer Services program.
The AGPA will also assist with surveys and performance management activities, interacts with the public, licencees and private industry to create a positive public perception of the Department.
Utilizes a wide range of analytical skills to prepare recommendations on special projects, priority projects, policy research and development, performance metrics, e.g., collect and analyze data; prepare reports, charts and spreadsheets; make recommendations on policies, procedures and program alternatives.
Serves on various committees. Attends and participates in staff and management meetings. Prepares Consumer Information Packets for distribution and assists with consumer services training. May assist with Consumer outreach activities.
